LIONS. It all began in Africa
In many cultures, the lion is the symbol of virtue and positive qualities.
It has always been the symbol of the wilderness and it represents savage instincts and the vital force of Nature. It is a splendid and majestic animal, just like the land from which it comes, Africa.
According to IUNC (the International Union for the Conservation of Nature) the lion might disappear in 10-15 years. In only one century, the lion population has been reduced 80%: they were 200 thousand, now they are just 30 thousand.
The lions, in fact, at one time lived all over Africa, now the area that the species lives in has been reduced to sub-Saharan Africa, mainly in Kenya and in Tanzania, where various sub species considered vulnerable live.
